PTBA Vice President Sustainability, Hartono through the Assistant Manager of Community Development Listati expressed his gratitude to Bukit Asam to the Muara Enim Regency Government (Pemkab) for being involved from the beginning to the peak night in the prestigious annual event of the 2022 Bujang Gadis Serasan Election.
According to him, the development of human resources who have broad insight and have the ability to compete is also the responsibility of the Company towards the environment around its operations.
He said PTBA not only provided support in giving prizes to the winners of the competition, 44 participants were also invited directly to the Bukit Asam Industrial Center (SIBA) Center in the hope of knowing how to utilize the potential of natural resources so that they could be useful.
In addition, the 2022 Bujang Gadis Serasan participants took photogenic photo shoot locations at the SIBA Center and Plasa Saringan, with the aim of carrying out the mission of tourism ambassadors by displaying kujur batik as a tourism icon.
PTBA hopes that this activity can motivate local children to participate in events like this, so that they can bring the good name and make Muara Enim Regency proud.
“The election of Bujang Gadis Serasan motivates young people who have a dream to become tourism ambassadors, and after the grand final, they are expected to continue to participate in higher events at the provincial and national levels,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Daily Executive (Plh.) of the Regent of Muara Enim Kurniawan on the peak night of the 2022 Bujang Gadis Serasan Election at the Putri Dayang Rindu Muara Enim Art Building, Wednesday night (18/5/2022), thanked PT Bukit Asam Tbk, Bank Sumsel Babel, and others who have supported the competition for young people in the Selection of Bujang Gadis Serasan (BGS) in 2022.

He hopes that the BGS finalists will not only arrive at this event, but will also be able to take part in vocational education scholarships as the collaboration that has been established by the Muara Enim Regency Government with the Institute of Domestic Administration, Hospitality College, Tourism College, and High School of Land Transportation.
“I congratulate Bujang and Gadis Serasan who have become champions, continue to pursue achievements at a higher level. For those who have not succeeded, use this valuable experience as a provision to look to a better future,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Muara Enim Economic and Creative Tourism Office, Isdrin said that the BGS election was aimed as a forum for the younger generation to channel their interests and talents positively and intelligently.
“We hope to become tourism ambassadors and participate together in maintaining the culture of local wisdom and the development of regional tourism through tourism promotion with participants who come from students in all sub-districts in Muara Enim Regency,” he said.
Based on the decision of the jury at the end of the event, a participant named Muhammad Iqbal Viarsyah from Muara Enim Sub-district, Sriwijaya State Polytechnic student and Tasya Maulidya, a student from SMA Negeri 1 Gelumbang, was crowned the winner of first place as Bujang and Girl Serasan Muara Enim in 2022.
