Responding to the increasing trend of Covid-19 cases in Tanjung Enim, Lawang Kidul District, Muara Enim Regency in the last few days, PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PT. BA) took the initiative by closing the Bukit Asam Zoo And Jogging Track Tourism destination.

PT. BA starts on Sunday, February 13, 2022 until the deadline is yet to be determined.

Manager of Public Relations, Communications and Corporate ADM, Dayaningrat, Friday (11/02/2022), said that Management took this quick step as it was a decision when it started reopening last Friday, February 4, 2022. In fact, the Zoo and Jogging Track Tour has been reopened in a pilot phase, along with the start of various activities for the Tanjung Enim community.

However, we will continue to consider the trend of the covid pandemic by referring to the provisions set by the Government, in this case the Muara Enim Regency Government, especially the Lawang Kidul District Government.

Initially, if the pandemic trend improves, it is possible to open other means of supporting Kowis, such as Waterboom, which does nothing but support the community’s economy.

“We hope that the public can understand this decision for the common good. We pray together that the covid pandemic will end soon from Bumi Serasan Sekundang and Indonesia in general so that we can carry out normal activities as usual,” said Dayaningrat.

Meanwhile, Lawang Kidul Sub-district Head Andrille Martin was discussed in his office saying that his party supports and has suggested the closure of the Zoo And Jogging Track Tourism vehicle which was opened some time ago by observing the trend of the new Omicron variant of the covid virus that has spread to Indonesia, especially Lawang Kidul District.

Not only did the closures apply to Zoo and Jogging Track tourism, but the South Tanjung Enim and Tanjung Enim village heads were also ordered to close the Karang Asam Field and the Talang Jawa Culinary Area.

He appealed to the people of Lawang Kidul to reduce mobility under these circumstances, to continue to follow health protocols, not to gather together, and not to invite crowds and people who had not been vaccinated to be vaccinated immediately.

“For the common good, Tripika and stakeholders will work hand in hand to socialize the new variant, and will carry out sweeping if there are people who gather and do not comply with health protocols,” said the Camat closing the conversation.
